Student story: Happy about learning!

Student
OFLP student Dely shared with us:

"A couple of years ago, I filled out the application to be a student of the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project. Later, I got a call telling me they found a tutor for me. It was the most happy day I ever have, because I met Jan, my tutor. We spent many months working together, and I learned a lot of English. She was wonderful. I love this project!"

Success story: An American Dream

One of the best aspects of literacy tutoring is seeing a student reach a goal. Here's one of our favorite success stories, from former AmeriCorps members, Matthew Carpenter.

house"One of my English students had a dream to own a rent house. He said he wanted an easy job, compared to his job working at a chicken plant. He talked about different "easy jobs," like doing garbage pickup, driving, or yard maintenance.
